Servers, bartenders, bussers, food runners, barbacks, and server assistants who worked at an American Social location in Florida within the past 5 years.

More Than 40 Hours in a Week

If you worked more than 40 hours in a workweek, you may be owed overtime, generally at one and one-half times your regular rate.

Paid a Tipped Rate

If you were paid a tipped hourly rate instead of the full minimum wage, the employer may only take a tip credit when it follows specific legal requirements.

Unpaid Meetings and Training

Time spent in mandatory meetings or training, or on job-related duties before clocking in or after clocking out, has to be paid.

No Clear Tip Credit Notice

Employers must give proper advance notice before applying a tip credit. Without it, employees may be owed the full minimum wage for every hour worked.
