Disclaimer and Terms of Use

Last Updated: October 29, 2026

Introduction and Scope

These Disclaimer and Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of www.usaemploymentlawyers.com, its landing pages, and all related content and services (together, the “Site”), operated by USA Employment Lawyers – Jordan Richards, PLLC (the “Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified or removed to the minimum extent needed, and the rest of the Terms will remain in effect.

Accessibility

We want the Site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. If you have trouble accessing any part of the Site, please call (954) 871-0050 or email info@usaemploymentlawyers.com and tell us the page and the problem you experienced. We will work to provide the information you need.

Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last Updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Please check this page periodically.

Communications From Us

When you give us your phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry, your matter, and investigations or lawsuits that may affect you, by phone, text message, and email, at the numbers and addresses you provide. Calls and texts may be sent using automated technology or prerecorded messages where permitted by law. You confirm you are the subscriber or authorized user of any phone number you provide. Consent to receive calls or texts is not a condition of receiving our services. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. Calls with the Firm may be recorded for quality and training purposes where permitted by law.

Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Policy, which appears below, explains how we collect, use, and disclose your information and is part of these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Site. A parent or legal guardian may use the Site on behalf of a minor. If you use the Site on behalf of another person or an entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.

Information Only, Not Legal Advice

The content on the Site, including articles, blog posts, investigation pages, state wage maps, and case summaries, is general information only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as legal advice for your situation. Employment and wage laws change often, and we do not promise to update content on the Site. Talk to a lawyer about the facts of your situation before taking or avoiding any action.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

Using the Site, submitting a case review form, calling, texting, emailing, or otherwise contacting the Firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship exists only after the Firm agrees to represent you in a signed written agreement. Until then, please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information, and do not assume the Firm is protecting your deadlines.

Investigations and Class and Collective Actions

Pages on the Site describing investigations or lawsuits involving specific employers are based on information available to us and allegations that have not been proven. An investigation does not mean an employer has violated the law. Being a former or current employee of a named company does not make you a client of the Firm or a member of any class or collective, and joining a collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act generally requires filing a written consent. Any settlement or recovery depends on the facts and the outcome of the case.

Confidentiality Is Not Guaranteed

Communications sent over the internet, by email, by text message, or through forms on the Site may not be secure. Information you send before we agree to represent you may not be treated as confidential or privileged. Do not send sensitive information through the Site unless we ask you to.

Permitted Use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to view and use the Site for your own non-commercial purposes. Any other use, including copying, distributing, or using Site content for commercial purposes, requires our written permission. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, including the “USA Employment Lawyers” name, are owned by or licensed to the Firm and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights except those expressly stated. We reserve all other rights and will enforce them to the fullest extent of the law.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, republish, or create derivative works from the Site except as these Terms allow.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract source code from the Site.
  • Frame, mirror, or scrape the Site, or use bots or automated tools to collect data from it.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our systems, or other users’ information, or interfere with Site security.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or submit information about another person without their permission.
  • Post or send content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or contains viruses or harmful code.
  • Use the Site in any way that violates any law or the rights of others.

We may block or restrict access to anyone who violates these Terms. Any unauthorized use ends the license granted above.

Submissions

You are responsible for information, documents, and other materials you send through the Site (“Submissions”). You confirm that you have the right to provide your Submissions and that they are accurate. Except for information protected by the attorney-client privilege after we agree to represent you, or as described in our Privacy Policy, you grant the Firm a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use your Submissions to evaluate your inquiry, provide our services, and operate the Site. We are not liable for any Submission.

Accuracy of Content

We work to keep the Site accurate, but content may contain errors or become out of date, and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that Site content is accurate, complete, or current, and we are not responsible for errors or omissions. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE FIRM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE FIRM AND ITS ATTORNEYS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THEM MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. This section applies only to your use of the Site and does not limit any duty the Firm owes to a client under a signed engagement agreement or applicable rules of professional conduct.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Firm and its attorneys, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Site, your Submissions, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others. We may participate in the defense of any such claim with counsel of our choice.

Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to websites operated by others, including government agencies and news sources. We do not control or endorse those websites and are not responsible for their content or practices. You visit them at your own risk, and these Terms do not apply to them.

State Laws Vary and Deadlines Apply

Wage and hour laws differ from state to state, and information on the Site may not apply where you live or work. Strict deadlines apply to employment claims. For example, claims under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act generally must be filed within two years, or three years for willful violations, and each week that passes can reduce the wages you may recover. If you think you have a claim, contact a lawyer promptly.

Firm Clients

Only people the Firm has agreed in writing to represent are clients of the Firm. Information shared with us by clients is protected under applicable rules of professional conduct.

Co-Counsel and Referral Counsel

We may work with co-counsel or local counsel on a matter, or refer a matter to another law firm. Any fee-sharing arrangement will be disclosed to you and handled as required by applicable rules of professional conduct. By contacting us, you consent to our sharing your information with co-counsel or referral counsel for the purpose of evaluating and handling your matter.

Legal and Ethical Requirements

We have made reasonable efforts to comply with the attorney advertising rules of each jurisdiction where the Site may be considered advertising. The Firm’s principal office is located at 200 S Andrews Ave, Suite 500, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Jordan Richards is the attorney responsible for the content of the Site.

Advertising Disclosures

ATTORNEY ADVERTISING. This Site may be considered attorney advertising in some jurisdictions. The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely on advertisements. Before you decide, ask us to send you free written information about our qualifications and experience.

Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Every case is different, and results depend on the facts and law of each matter. Case results and settlement amounts described on the Site are not a promise of what you may recover.

Licensing. Our attorneys are licensed to practice only in the jurisdictions where they are admitted. We handle cases in other states with attorneys admitted in those states, through pro hac vice admission where permitted, or with co-counsel or local counsel. The Firm does not seek to represent anyone based solely on viewing the Site in a jurisdiction where the Site does not comply with local rules.

Fees. We handle most wage and hour cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning you pay attorneys’ fees only if there is a recovery. The terms of any fee arrangement will be stated in a written agreement. Depending on your case and the law that applies, you may be responsible for certain costs.

Testimonials and dramatizations. Any client testimonial on the Site reflects that client’s experience and is not a guarantee of results. Any image or video may be a dramatization or use actors unless otherwise stated.

Claims of Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to the address below that includes: your physical or electronic signature; a description of the copyrighted work; a description of where the material is located on the Site; your name, address, phone number, and email address; a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Any claim arising from your use of the Site must be brought within one year after it arises, unless a longer period is required by law.

International Use

The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for use in the United States. We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or available for use elsewhere.

Other Terms

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision. Any waiver must be in writing. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding use of the Site and replace any prior agreements on that subject. They do not replace any written engagement agreement between the Firm and a client. We may suspend or end your access to the Site at any time for any reason.

Do Not Track

The Platform does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in the state notice below.

Declining to provide information

If you choose not to provide certain information, we may not be able to evaluate your claim or provide our services.

Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from anyone under 18 except where a parent or guardian provides it in connection with a legal matter. If you believe a minor has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it as appropriate.

Additional Notice for Residents of Certain U.S. States

This section applies to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with similar consumer privacy laws, to the extent those laws apply to the Firm. Collection, use, and disclosure

The categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes for use, and the categories of recipients are described in the sections above.

Sales, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose identifiers (such as IP address and device IDs) and internet activity information to advertising partners for targeted advertising, which some state laws treat as a “sale” or “sharing.” We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law.

Your rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including in a portable format.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as our record retention obligations.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information and targeted advertising.
  • Limit or withdraw consent to the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

How to exercise your rights

To submit a request, email us at info@usaemploymentlawyers.com or call (954) 871-0050. To opt out of targeted advertising, use the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer of our website. We also recognize Global Privacy Control browser signals as a valid opt-out request for the browser or device sending the signal.

We will verify your identity before responding by matching information you provide to information we have. You may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of the agent’s authority and ask you to verify your identity directly. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that period by up to 45 additional days where permitted by law. We generally do not charge a fee.

Appeals

If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing info@usaemploymentlawyers.com with the subject line “Privacy Request Appeal.” We will respond within the time required by your state’s law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Additional Notice for California Residents (Shine the Light)

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request information about personal information shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We treat an opt-out request under this Privacy Policy as a request to stop such sharing. Contact us using the information below.

Additional Notice for Nevada Residents

Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of certain personal information. Although we do not currently sell personal information as defined by Nevada law, you may submit an opt-out request to info@usaemploymentlawyers.com.

Biometric Information

We do not collect biometric identifiers, such as fingerprints, face geometry, or voiceprints, through the Platform. If you provide records containing biometric data in connection with a legal claim, such as a claim under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, we use that information only to pursue your claim and handle it under our confidentiality obligations.

De-identified Information

We may create or receive information that cannot reasonably be linked to a specific person or household. We will maintain that information in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as required or permitted by law.

Retention of Personal Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to represent clients, meet court and settlement administration requirements, comply with record retention rules that apply to law firms, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When deciding how long to keep information, we consider its sensitivity, the risk of harm from unauthorized use, the purposes for which we hold it, and our legal and ethical obligations. We may de-identify information instead of deleting it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when we post the updated version on the Platform, and the “Last Updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
