Jake Blumstein, Esq. is a dedicated employment law attorney and a key member of our team at USA Employment Lawyers. Jake prides himself on giving each of his clients the individualized, compassionate attention their situation deserves. Whether counseling an employer or advocating for an employee, Jake always focuses on finding the best strategic solutions to meet his client’s goals.
Jake has worked on hundreds of employment disputes and has obtained favorable results in federal and state courts throughout Florida, as well as in arbitrations with JAMS and AAA. He has represented both employees and employers in numerous aspects of employment law including wage and hour violations, sexual harassment, workplace discrimination, whistle blower claims, retaliation, non-compete agreement disputes, and ADA compliance, to name a few.
Prior to Jake’s legal career he attended Florida State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Political Science. After graduating from FSU, Jake was selected by the Spanish Ministry of Education to teach English in several secondary schools in Spain. When he returned to the United States, Jake attended Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where he received various academic honors, including the Cali Book Award for Excellent Academic Achievement in Civil Procedure – an honor that recognized him for earning the highest grade in the class. Jake was on his law school’s Dean’s list for five consecutive semesters, and he graduated at the top of his class with magna cum laude honors.
As a community leader, Jake provides dozens of hours of Pro Bono services to Nonprofit Organizations throughout South Florida. He served on the Executive Board of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) for Broward County, and is also the founder of a book club. Jake enjoys playing tennis, going fishing and spending quality time with his friends and family.
